Hello, I'm Josh, the creator of the Atypical Daydream Podcast, a composer and storyteller based in Berlin, Germany.

In 2016, I was bitten by the podcast bug when I played a pivotal role in the creation of The Nick Animation Podcast. The following year, I continued my podcast journey by contributing to Nickelodeon's Listen Out Loud Podcast. These experiences fueled my passion for storytelling through the audio medium.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of collaborating on a diverse array of podcast genres, including interview, conversational , horror, true crime, scripted fiction, and journalistic non-fiction. I've had the pleasure of working with both independent creators and established companies, allowing me to explore the full spectrum of podcasting possibilities.

Having spent time among musicians and road crew members, I always found their tour stories to be particularly enchanting. These tales held a unique magic, and I was determined to capture it. After years of contemplation and fueled by the circumstances of 2020 that had many of us stuck at home, I decided to take action and embark on a journey to create my own podcast.

Inspired by the free-form radio pioneer Bob Fass and the renowned field recordists John and Alan Lomax, I set out on a mission to craft a podcast that would bring these captivating road stories to life. Atypical Daydream was born from this vision.
